Season

Our regular season consists of 36 weeks (35 weeks of classes, 1 week for performance) for both SPARKS (Pre-K thru Kinder) and FORCE (1st-Adult) students. Classes start late August/early September and run through the end of May, with our Spring Recital occurring in late May/early June.

In addition, we have an annual Nutcracker tradition – a mid-year Snowflake Showcase: Excerpts from the Nutcracker in December. This is an audition-only based showcase for our students who are in 1st grade & up. Students in 6th grade & up are eligible to audition for solo/duet roles.

We allow new and returning students to join regular season classes any time until the end of November. After that, we begin choreography for the spring recital and new students may no longer enroll in these classes.

We offer session classes and summer camps and classes for a select number of weeks throughout our January-May and June-August for those getting a late start due to sports and other activities, or who are looking for summer activities. Session classes are not included in our spring recital.

View our Season Calendar here.

Tuition

There is a $40 registration fee per family annually for the regular season. This will be charged with your first month’s tuition. Registration fees do not apply to session or summer classes.

Monthly Billing Procedures

On the 15th of each month, families receive a statement/bill for the upcoming month via email. These fees are due on the first of the upcoming month and will be automatically charged to the card on file in your Parent Portal account. Those who do not have a card on file must pay the fees before the 25th by placing a check or cash with the student’s name in the payment box located at the desk.

A $10 late fee will be placed on your account if payment is not received by the 5th of each month, no exceptions.

Recital

We offer a Winter Showcase – Snowflake Showcase: Excerpts from the Nutcracker for our FORCE students in 1st grade & up. It is optional and audition-based, with rehearsals held outside of regular classes on select Saturdays through October, November & December. Participation fees vary based on the number of rehearsals and costumes being rented.

Our Spring Recitals have a different, exciting theme each year, with a separate show for our SPARKS students and our FORCE students. They are held in late May/early June and all regular season dance classes participate unless otherwise noted. Our SPARKS Show is held the same weekend of the spring FORCE recital with a real stage. In order to give our little ones a positive stage experience, we keep the house lights up and parade the students through the aisle, so that they can see their families before they perform. This gives them the confidence to perform at their very best.

Our Martial Arts classes – including Mighty Mites and KSW Dragons – have their own showcase the Sunday following the FORCE & SPARKS recitals, along with other Kuk Sool Won students.

We assume all students will participate in our end of season shows unless we are given written notice prior to October 1st of the current season. We realize the stage isn’t for everyone, nor is it the only reason to learn dance. If you or your student are unable or uninterested in performing, you must notify us via email (staff@allaboutdancellc.com) prior to October 1st so that you are not charged the recital fees. If this deadline is missed, you may be subject to costume return fees or other charges.

Recital Fees

Our recital fees consist of a family participation fee and a costume fee. They are placed on your account by November 15th of the current season, and will be charged to the card on file on December 1st. This allows for on-time ordering of costumes.

Do You Need Budget Billing? To make it easier on the family budget, we are happy to distribute all recital fees over the course of the season. The sooner you let us know, the more months we are able to split the payment over. The deadline for Recital Fee Budget Billing is November 15th. We will take the total for all costumes and split it over how many months are left in the season (for example: December-June would be 7 months).

Attendance

We understand that classes may be missed due to illness, vacations or other reasons. While we do not offer refunds for missed classes, we do allow and encourage make-up classes. Please let a staff member know about absences as soon as possible by call/text 937-280-4188, staff@allaboutdancellc.com or message on the BAND app. We will work with you to find a make-up class time.

For our pointe dancers, we require 2 ballet classes per week in order for technique and strength to remain at a suitable level for pointe work. Please note that consistent absences may result in loss of strength or inability to keep up with pointe work. Parents will be notified if this is starting to become a concern. Ultimately, instructors may determine that discontinuing pointe work or pulling a student out of a pointe recital piece is in the best interest of the student to avoid injury.

FORCE Recital Attendance Policy

As we enter spring recital season, consistent attendance is crucially important for learning choreography, maintaining formations, and working cohesively as a dance class. Dance routines rely heavily on spacing, timing, and awareness of their classmates – even one absence can make it more difficult for other students.

To ensure fairness to all students in a class, and so that all students are able to perform at their best, we only allow for 2 unexcused absences (4 for classes that meet twice per week) from March-June. Please report any planned or unplanned absences to your instructor as soon as you are aware of them so that we can prepare choreography and lesson plans accordingly. Any additional unexcused or uncommunicated absences may result in removal from the recital piece.

    Class Changes & Withdrawals

We want you to be happy with your decision to join our family and will do whatever it takes to make your time with us enjoyable! When you pick a class, we assume you will be staying through the season, but we understand life happens. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your choice, we will take the necessary steps to find a more suitable class.

If you find that dance just isn’t a good fit for you or your child, we would be happy to assist in withdrawing you from the class. We do require a 30-day notice for withdrawals and we do not offer refunds. You are welcome to continue attending any classes that have been paid for prior to your withdrawal.
